CSI: Crime Science InvestigationTelevision is changing as viewers become accustomed to literally hundreds of channels competing for their time. What are the ingredients for developing content that not only captures viewers’ interest, but continues to entertain week after week? How can the Internet and mobile technology enhance a brand, create a new audience and generate additional revenue?

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is doing this today and its creator and executive producer, Anthony Zuiker, has discovered a mix of traditional television and evolving broadband opportunities that are not only working, but also are extremely successful. Zuiker will show how creative ideas, great talent and a healthy dose of risk can open new pathways for existing brands. He will explain why promoting fresh content to a young audience is so important.

Pushing Daisies While film studios are greenlighting tentpole events, TV is taking more risks with quirkier fare than ever before. Audiences are watching this fresh programming (and their favorite films) on flat screens with surround sound, and it’s keeping them glued to their home theaters in droves. What do these changes mean for filmmakers and the viewing public? What’s the next big technology that will reshape entertainment, yet again? One of Hollywood’s top creative voices shares his insights into the state of filmed entertainment and his hopes and fears for tomorrow.

Six Flags As he brings twenty-one nationwide theme parks into the 21st century via innovation, the former ESPN executive vice president of production and programming -- who led an unprecedented 30-month surge of ratings increases in his 3 years at the helm -- will share what he has learned along his journey into both industries. His keynote will focus on how the two worlds, although seemingly quite different, share similar goals in an entertainment environment that is re-inventing itself, day by day, minute by minute. Shapiro will discuss the synergy of his recently acquired Dick Clark Productions and his newest media venture, Six Flags Media Networks, an original interactive media solution that will allow advertisers to reach captive audiences with new, often experiential marketing content while enhancing the customers' in-park experience. As the world grows smaller with the expansion of communications, the industries grow ever closer.
