TRAVEL IN AND OUT OF THE U.S.

Traveling internationally requires planning:

  • Check if you need a visa or qualify for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
  • Avoid purchasing airline tickets until your visa application is approved.
  • While not mandatory for NAB Show, consider COVID vaccination, boosters, testing, and isolating if infected.
  • Allow at least three hours for U.S. flight transfers to re-check luggage and clear Customs and Immigration.
  • For international departures from the U.S., arrive at the airport three hours early, check bags at least one hour before departure, and be at your gate 45 minutes before boarding.

VISA APPLICATION AND INTERVIEW TIPS

Many international visitors need a visa to enter the U.S., and the process can take time. Follow these steps to improve your chances of approval:

  • Register for NAB Show to receive an official Letter of Invitation via email.
  • Complete and submit Form DS-160, the online visa application for business or tourism (B-1/B-2 visa), and save the confirmation page with the barcode.
  • Pay the visa application fee, if required, before scheduling your appointment.
  • Schedule your visa interview at your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate as early as possible.
  • Bring the required documentation to your interview, including the DS-160 confirmation page, your NAB Show Letter of Invitation, and any other event materials you’ve received.

TRADE EVENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (TEPP)

Connect with the U.S. Department of Commerce at NAB Show.

NAB Show proudly participates in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Trade Event Partnership Program (TEPP). Through the U.S. Commercial Service’s global network of offices in U.S. embassies and consulates, TEPP recruits pre-screened foreign buyer delegations and connects them with U.S. companies at premier tradeshows like NAB Show in the United States.

Trade specialists from U.S. embassies and consulates can assist with registration, help identify products of interest at NAB Show and facilitate meetings with U.S. businesses. Many of these specialists lead delegations to the 2025 NAB Show as part of the TEPP initiative.
