Janice Min

CEO and Editor-in-chief at Ankler Media

Janice Min is CEO and editor-in-chief of Ankler Media, the most incisive and trusted voice covering the entertainment industry, speaking clearly and with depth with top-of-class analysis and reporting. The Ankler has been called "a buzzy newsletter that circulates through Hollywood C suites" by the New York Times, and a "hit Hollywood newsletter." Vanity Fair wrote that The Ankler “chronicles Hollywood in all of its naked theatricality, with a mischievous bent and a sardonic regard for the industry’s towering egos.”

Accepted into Silicon Valley's competitive Y Combinator, Ankler Media raised investment in 2022 at a valuation of $20 million. At the close of 2024, the company had grown its annual revenue by nearly 3000 percent.

Previously, Min was the longtime co-president of the Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Entertainment Group, where she engineered a publishing rebirth of The Hollywood Reporter hailed as a “stunning transformation” by the New York Times. Prior to that, as editor-in-chief of Us Weekly, she was cited as having transformed modern celebrity culture.

An Emmy winner, Min has been Adweek’s Editor of the Year and received Ad Age’s Magazine of the Year honors. She has been profiled by the New York Times, NPR and The Guardian. In 2023, she was named one of Ad Age’s Leading Women and one of CNN’s 11 Most Consequential Media and Technology Figures of the year.

Min was honored with her alma mater Columbia Journalism School’s Alumni Award and the Columbia University Asian-American Alumni Award, as well as the University of Missouri’s Honor Medal for distinguished service in journalism. A Matrix Award honoree, she has also won two National Magazine Awards for General Excellence and has been nominated five times.

Min currently sits on the boards of Columbia University’s School of Journalism, the UCLA Institute of the Environment, and the Archer School for Girls. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband, a fellow graduate of Columbia University, and their three children.
