Mathieu Rochon

Senior Technical Advisor at Radio Canada

Simon Patnaude and Mathieu Rochon bring decades of technical expertise to CBC/Radio-Canada. Simon, with 25 years in television broadcasting, has transitioned from operational to engineering positions. His focus has been with control room, OB truck builds, and national deployments of centralized broadcast systems. He currently leads the implementation of the EBU's DMF reference architecture through the Universal Production Platform (UPP). Mathieu, a Senior Technical Advisor, has navigated numerous industry transitions, including tapeless migration, analog-to-SDI, SD-to-HD, and the construction of a full ST-2110 production facility. He's also served as the primary technical lead for CBC/Radio-Canada’s Olympic Games coverage. Together, they represent a wealth of experience in driving innovation and managing complex technical projects in broadcast media.
