Sally-Ann D'Amato leads the organization and acts as a liaison between the board, the staff and the Society. She's responsible for creating the SMPTE budget and planning and executing SMPTE events including the Future of Cinema Conference (FoCC) and the Media Technology Summit (MTS). 

Representing SMPTE at industry events, she leads sessions, networks with businesses and industry experts and promotes current SMPTE projects and accomplishments. She also runs the administrative aspects of SMPTE on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the success of the organization and its members. (Basically, she's captain of the ship.) She has been with SMPTE since 2001.
