What are the biggest trends impacting the community/industry right now?
  • The transition from measuring and marketing a linear TV audience to measuring and marketing a cross-platform audience, where media companies reach consumers on linear, streaming, mobile and the web.
  • Building audience in a massively fragmented media environment where thousands of streaming channels compete on platforms where set manufacturers can function as gate keepers.
  • The decline of cable and satellite and the fees they pay to retransmit programming to their subscribers.

What challenges does the community need to overcome, because of these trends?
  • Invest in new approaches to measuring cross-platform audiences and help to convince ad agencies that these currencies serve their clients better
  • Use newsletters, AI-enabled content from trusted sources and outlets like TikTok and YouTube to develop and promote to new audiences.
  • Convince the government that station groups must be permitted to negotiate directly with virtual MVPDs for subscriber fees, rather than being forced to rely on their networks to do so.
What’s one thing you wish more media pros knew about?

Technology, including automation, AI and the cloud, can help media companies create more content for a multi-platform world and it can help their sales reps generate more revenue

What are the top 3 things that attendees should go hunt down on the show floor to expand what they just learned in your sessions?

  • Run3TV
  • AI-assisted sales tools
What discussions should they be having with the exhibitors?
