About the Contributor
Benjamin Lehmann is a producer with vast and varied experience in creative content development and production. Prior to Sesame Street, Lehmann was an independent producer, cinematographer and director with his own production company.
As Senior Producer, Lehmann oversees the Sesame Street Post Production, Film & Animation Commissioning and Digital Production departments for the iconic children’s show. He is responsible for the production of all content experiences across linear and digital platforms for Sesame Street. He also directs for the show and for digital and social media projects. Lehmann has been with the show for 13 years and has won 5 Emmy Awards for his work, as well as 3 Producer’s Guild Awards. Lehmann currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Producer’s Guild of America East and was Co-chair of the inaugural Produced By: New York conference in 2014. He also serves on the board of the Children’s Media Association as Vice President.
Lehmann received a BA from Colorado University, Boulder. He grew up in Paris, France and Los Angeles, CA and now lives in Astoria, Queens with his wife and two children.
