About the Contributor:
Mark August is a veteran camera operator and filmmaker. His experience in United States Navy of 25 years as a combat photographer behind a camera has sharpen his skills and a current Naval reservist. A veteran of Desert Storm War in 1991 and Global War on Terrorism in Afghanistan. A current member of Navy Dive unit Undersea Rescue Command (the US Navy’s only submarine rescue unit). Mark will retire in March 2015 with a Honorable Discharge, into retirement for the Armed Forces Reserves.
He is a current member of the camera guild local 600, founding member of the Digital Cinema Society, Veterans in Film and Television (VFT), and proud member of the Society of Camera Operators serving as the President.
